You don’t have to agree with each other

010

living life with a self-imposed moral code within our thoughts and  actions. To live by what you perceive as right and wrong along with finding compassion for both yourself and others. Principles taught  by philosophers, religions and visionaries through out mankind’s existence. Why does it seem such great ideals seem to be lost or ignored by those who are either in power or that have the greatest capacity to change the world we live in? Why is it such things as honor and compassion seem to be things of occasional use than the daily practice of all human beings? Why does it seem that religion has started more wars than it has saved lives or helped the needy? Most religion teaches us to have compassion and to help out our fellow humans as well as to do what is right and what to avoid as far as the wrong. but yet too many wars have been fought over Holy landmarks and over which is the one true religion. So sad that mankind can take the scripture of any religion and find in it a reason to kill other humans. Anger, greed and intolerance are not what most religions teach yet this is what some of the followers seem to think it is about. All of mankind are brothers and sisters and we all live on the same small planet called earth. I can not see why we can not just get along and work together for a better world instead of fighting over religion, natural resources and for the sake of national pride.

Personally I could care less what religion another human being choses for that is their god given right to do so. Nor do I worry over Holy landmarks or icons for the whole world is a creation of god so therefore all of it is Holy in its creation and existence. I do understand though why others may find significance in holy places and that in itself isn’t a problem. It is when certain holy landmarks are claimed by multiple religions it tends to cause problems. I never could see why that each religion couldn’t just share the holy places. Respect each other and the beliefs that they choose and in turn they should respect you and yours the same. But this is not an ideal world and religious leaders are not perfect in any means so they will always will have their problems till the end of time. Though that isn’t necessarily the only choice they have but it is the only one they seem to want to choose.

The good news is that as individuals we have not only the right but the ability to choose a more peaceful and more tolerant way of coexisting with others in this world. We don’t have to fall to anger, greed, intolerance or prejudice. We can choose to love one another regardless of flaws, faults or our differences. The choice is ours and no one can make the choice for us. No government, religious leader or military force can change the minds of others. They can only force you to hide your true beliefs as well as pretend to believe as they do. For war and conflict they are not the right way to change the world, it is done through compassionate actions and through wisdom being taught. Though change sometimes takes a long time to come it always will but usually through the minds and hearts of the people more so than through the sword.

To be clear there are times the sword may be the only choice but it should always be the last choice in a do or die situation. All other avenues should be exhausted before such a terrible thing as war or conflict should be considered. I myself would never seek out any type of negative action such as war or to kill another human being, I find taking the lives of others into my hands as such is to play as if I am god and that is definitely not an option for me. I am a mere human being and I try to do what I see as good for both myself and all other living creatures on this planet. Having my own faults I don’t always succeed in making the right choices but I put my best effort in trying to avoid hurting others when I make choices. Sometimes it is unavoidable and I usually suffer from a conscience that will not allow me to forget.

Live by the moral code of your choosing and avoid causing suffering of any kind while you walk the path of life. If you must be judgmental try to judge kindly for you are judged by the way you judge others. Learn to forgive both yourself and others for the shortcomings we all seem to bear. Treat others with kindness for it is the right thing to do and it also may be returned to you when you are in need. Be slow to anger and quick to cool down, for anger is the path to destruction. And always remember you don’t have to agree with each other, you just have to respect each others right to believe as they wish.

Well that’s enough of this fools thoughts for today.
Peace and wisdom guide your hearts.

To put blind faith in a human being is not a good idea at best.

002

I am not a great fan of organized religion, but I am a great supporter of religion on an individual/personal level. Organized religion gives too much power to the church over the beliefs and doctrine of individuals. Each person should have their own personal relationship with Jesus and God (or the god of their personal choice). I am a firm believer in freewill and the right to choose you own spiritual path to follow. No man should have the right to force his own beliefs upon another. This is not to say I am against spreading the word of your chosen religion, just you should respect the rights of others to believe differently.

I have seen too many times people putting faith into religious leaders who wind up leading their followers into hateful and hurtful beliefs and actions. There have been many of times that religious leaders have led their followers to mass suicide or created holy wars that caused the destruction and killing of many innocent people. To put blind faith into God is okay but to put blind faith in a human being is not a good idea at best. No man is without fault and no one man should be followed blindly. Read your scriptures and keep faith god will reveal truth to you so you may not be deceived by man or any other force out to lead you astray. Use that freewill god gave you to seek out the truth along with the right path for you to follow.

I believe freewill was a gift to us from god and he gave us the right to choose our own way to live and believe. Freewill is a great blessing but it has the cost of being wrong or making the wrong choices and having to pay the price for such. Luckily most of us live long enough to make many mistakes along the way and learn what is and isn’t the right path hopefully before our time is up.

Though I know my opinions are not always  right or popular , they are of my own choosing.

Live life instead of just trying to survive

002 I look back on my life and see the days, weeks and years I wasted in depression, denial and in self-deception. How many times I lived my day to please others or longing for approval by my peers. Always looking for my happiness through those around me and ignoring if not neglecting the one person that can make me happy, “ME”. Others may be able to contribute to my happiness along with my unhappiness but the decision to be happy  is mine alone. The opinion of others can be a double edge sword for some will like you and others will either despise you or be jealous of you for some stupid reason or another. The only persons opinion you should care about when it comes to yourself is your own. If you do not like, love or appreciate yourself  then no one else will either.

All that time I wasted worrying about if I met the standards of those I cared about and if I was good enough to be where I was in life could have been spent trying to be the best version of the real me. If a person does not accept you for who you truly are then that person is not one that will ever accept you and you should move on. Being we all have both good and bad points to our personalities and that we all make mistakes along the way I can see no reason we all can’t just accept each other as who we really are. Too many masks we have to wear in our daily lives to satisfy the many people we interact with. Shed the masks and be yourself, succeed and fail as the real you and refine your better qualities while trying to control the less needed ones.

By being your true self you may find that people will like you even more than before and those that don’t wont matter as much to you once you accept yourself as is. One thing I do believe is each and every one of us are unique and possess our own strengths if not special qualities. Figure out your strong points and find your unique abilities and use them to their fullest. Live life instead of just trying to survive, enjoy the simple things and avoid making life more complicated than it really is.

Well that’s just some of my thoughts for you to think about.

Peace be your guide and be yourself.

Interesting Historical Tidbits

An illustration of the aeolipile, the earliest...

There have been many interesting findings in antiquity that have shown man has mapped the globe far before we had known. There is one map showing the locations of Antarctica hundreds of years before it was known to be discovered. 1929 historians found a map drawn on a gazelle skin, it shows the coastlines of Africa, east coast of South America and the northern coast of Antarctica in great detail. This map is called the Piri Reis map. Read more about this map on World Mysteries Website LINK: http://www.world-mysteries.com/sar_1.htm They go into greater detail about the map. I found it most interesting that the map had details about Antarctica’s coastline that would be under the ice which wouldn’t be able to be seen since 4000 BC. That’s 6011 years ago, this is where some believe the biblical creation of the earth had taken place.  In terms of technological advancement the humans in that time were still using stone and wood tools and the written word was just in its beginnings.

Just recently some archeologist in Israel have discovered teeth that belongs to a modern man and it has been dated to be approx. 400,000 years old. The earliest Homo sapiens remains found until now are half as old. Though the findings are still inconclusive until they find a skull and other skeletal remains to be certain of the teeth exact origins. you can read more on the discovery on Fox News Website at this link: http://www.foxnews.com/scitech/2010/12/27/ancient-teeth-change-picture-evolution/

As we have learned from history, science isn’t always exact and the answers they provide change with each new discovery. Science has went from thinking the earth was the center of our galaxy and universe to being the 3rd planet from our sun which we orbit. They also went from a earth that was flat to an spherical planet. So as we learn our answers and what we state as truths change with time.

The point is that man has existed on earth longer than the believed biblical timeline and even longer than what science first believed. This also messes with the current belief in the evolution of homo sapiens. So how long has man really existed on this planet? that question will always change and how so called stone aged humans could map Antarctica? Far as the biblical time line, the possibility that the old testament stories were more than likely orally passed down for many generations . When the biblical timeline began is truly a mystery without documentation or physical evidence. More and likely the biblical timeline began way before 4000 b.c. and had been orally passed on from one generation to the next for thousands of years. So the story of genesis could have been way further back in time that some theologians have estimated.

Then there is the Baghdad battery also known as the Parthian Battery is a simplistic single cell battery some think was used for basic electroplating. Wilhelm König an German archaeologist was the first to conclude it was an ancient electric battery. to learn more about the Baghdad / Parthian battery go to World Mysteries Website at this link: http://www.world-mysteries.com/sar_11.htm . So many enigmas in our history as a species especially Hero’s Engine. Hero (or Heron ) of Alexandria.’

Excerpt from Wikipedia

“Hero (or Heron) of Alexandria (Greek: Ἥρων ὁ Ἀλεξανδρεύς) (c. 10–70 AD) was an ancient Greek mathematician who was a resident of a Roman province (Ptolemaic Egypt); he was also an engineer who was active in his native city of Alexandria. He is considered the greatest experimenter of antiquity and his work is representative of the Hellenistic scientific tradition.

Hero published a well recognized description of a steam-powered device called an aeolipile (hence sometimes called a "Hero engine"). Among his most famous inventions was a windwheel, constituting the earliest instance of wind harnessing on land. He is said to have been a follower of the Atomists. Some of his ideas were derived from the works of Ctesibius.

Much of Hero’s original writings and designs have been lost, but fortunately, some of his works were preserved in Arab manuscripts.”

I find it so interesting about how some things are discovered and others are mere rediscoveries. The fact mankind has had technologies that were though to be modern day discoveries and inventions thousands of years ago.

Well I guess I bored you enough today.
May peace be your path as wisdom be your guide.

Be Yourself

P Society

Be Yourself, Never allow the opinions of others change who you really are. Each one of us are unique individuals and each of us have our own special way of interacting with life. Our uniqueness is what makes us human beings a creative species. Who you are is who you were meant to be, no matter what the society, government or religious institutions believe. We have flaws and we have blessings, that is what being human is all about.

Why try and change yourself to fit in what they call the social norm when who and what you are is far more special and unique than to be a uniform drone of society. Too many times I watched the bullies of the so called in crowed push down the unique and good people who where not social conformers. Too many times I watched some of the nicest people I’ve known be bullied until they repressed their true selves or felt they were inadequate and useless.

Some of them survived and thrived as time went on others had their futures squashed by low self esteem and poor self image created by society. If society does not like who I am it can go on without me, I will not try and conform to what their ideal person is supposed to be. In history if you look close it was the ones who were outside societies norm that made the great inventions and discoveries. They chose to walk their own path and discarded any social pressure to conform. This made them free to reach their full potential and bring some of the greatest world changing discoveries and inventions.

Peace to all and to all a Merry Christmas

Pleasure in the suffering of others is Childish and Cruel

see filename
I often wondered why some people find the misfortunes of others either funny or entertaining. What could drive a person to find enjoyment in such things is beyond my own understanding. I myself could not find any enjoyment or entertainment in the suffering even in my worst enemy. It is cruel minded to find joy or pleasure in the sufferings of others, regardless if they be friend or foe. I guess it boils down to what one defines as just and or justice, If one believes that justice is to see the suffering of the villain or criminal rather than the putting right of which is wrong then maybe that makes it seem ok to find pleasure in the suffering of another.

I believe that the sufferings of others is not to be pleasured in, it is to be abhorred and found a sad or terrible sight. To find pleasure in such things is either madness or a cruel and evil way of thinking. I only hope one day mankind can grow out of such childish thinking and become more compassionate, caring and peaceful.

Freewill, Evil and Human Nature

I have often pondered on if there is a God and he loves us then why does evil exist and suffering? The answer to each of those questions vary with whom you ask them. My thoughts are as follows, God allows evil to exist in order to allow us to enjoy the gift of freewill that he gave us. Thus the majority of the evil in this world if not all of it is solely our responsibility. Human beings are the source of evil here on earth as well as the source of goodness. If Evil exists here on earth it is due to our free choice to allow it to be a part of our lives. Unfortunately being such a large population it would be next to impossible to stamp out all evil in our society. The only way would to try and enlighten everyone and promote love, peace and understanding on a global scale. This is something I fear could never happen due to the people in power would reject and obstruct such a global movement. War one of the greater evils of mankind is the most profitable and is the thing most governments support as long as its not on their soil.

Far as suffering, it is no more than a side effect of the evil man creates. Greed and the lust for power fuels the leaders of our world either consciously or subconsciously. There may be many politicians and political leaders that are not evil by nature but fall to the wayside as a necessity to gain position or favor. So why does god allow all of this? Well its all the freewill thing, He gave us the reigns and only intercedes if asked or if necessary. Man must learn on his own that Sin, wickedness and evil are the enemy of life. Being a human myself, I face many faults within myself and fall to sin. The nature to be selfish and to be self satisfying seems to be a embedded part of human nature. To resist and to control it is a choice that one must make.

Well that’s my thoughts on the issue, right or wrong its here for all to see.

Peace and happiness to all
